had to buy a dvd recorder that plays avi files but cant watch them anywhere else any help would be much appreciated
DVD Flick will convert an AVI to DVD format and optionally burn the disk. Read the guide that's included with the program (click 'Guide' on the top menu). http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_flick.cfm
convertxtodvd,flick,avs4you and 1click dvd movie, these are all programs that will convert a avi file to dvd.convertxtodvd is my choice, not as fast as 1 click dvd movie but a little better quality.
Xillisoft AVI to DVD converter is what I use it makes an ISO and then burn using imgburn, nero, or whatever burning program you use.
Subscribed, as once Xillisoft is mentioned spammers will be attracted to this thread. DVD Flick (free) has already been suggested, Xillisoft is therefore redundant
