    hello,

i got recenlty a new problem with my converxdvd problem.
iused to download movies (700mb) and burn them with that program on a DVD-R or dvd+R..everything was working smoothly.

    since 2 days back,

when it comes to burning part, it asks for double layer DVD!!

i checked convertxdvd folder & found the size of the converted file was 5 GB!!!

    why is it that big?

its same movies, same subtitles, nothig changed in my process!!

anyone encountred such situation please advise me

    thank you

On your converted file, use dvd shrink to compress to 4464Mb and then burn to dvd-R or dvd+r single layer disc.

Also use good quality discs as Taiyo Yudens or $ony's

That will do it. I still have never had that problem before and they all end up being a little over a gig each when the avi file is 700mb.

The size of your source file is NOT relevant. Only the running time matters when converting to DVD.
