can anyone help me unblock 2 phones

    Hi my friend moved to canada from uk and when he left he gave me his phones. The only thing is he stopped paying for them b4 he left and the phone compony has blocked them. Is there anyway i can unblock them so they can be used. The phones are samsung GT-S5230 and LG lgip-570a. Thanks
