Do you have AnyDVD. If not try that with DVD Decrypter. There is a 21 day free trial on Slysofts web site.

    blaise26,

I just backed-up Bros Grimm and had No problem with it..

Try this method, you don’t need AnyDVD, just DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink..

In Decrypter go to Mode -> ISO -> ISO R and select for ISO Read mode.

Then rip the movie to a folder of your choice say MOVIE_Bros_Grimm

Let Rip then open Shrink and go to File -> Open Disc Image and browse to the .MDS file
Open it in Shrink and set it like you want it as normally would.

Then tell Shrink to save to the same folder but check create VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS floders
You can have it burn with Decrypter or burn with Nero either way is OK

Check that out and let us know…

In other words.. just do what you normally do to back-up a movie except use Decrypter in the ISO Read mode… and that’s it..

i tried changing the mode to iso-read and it did the same as before.the decrypter runs until "parsing ifo files " and then it just shuts down the program.if i run decrypter then put in dvd i get an error reading,"interface thread runtime exception, message=Eaccess violation."then i get"access violation at address (a bunch of #'s) in module 'dvd decrypter." do you or anyone else think i might have an outdated version of dvd decrypter? i have had the same version for about a year now.also in other forums i see people saying ' burn with decrypter' there is no burn feature on my version, that i can find.and for some reason i can't find the version number anywere.

    Decrypter is no longer updated..
Have you had this problem with other discs?
If not, this may be a bad pressing and may play but may not be able to rip..
Are you able to exchange it for another copy?
That may be the only way to go…

    Hi Blaise.

What do you mean by that mate?

That's an odd one, you know, normally AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 are quite good together, and DVD Decrypter is very good as well. It's a sin it's no longer updated...

Bring us those memory numbers, if they are good then you might have a dodgy disk like 2oldgeek said before...

    Miggs.
