    Based in Ireland and looking for a 42"+ TV, full HDMI, 3D compatable etc... for €800 - are there any good TVs out there that someone can recommend for this price?

    Thanks.

    I did a conversion. €800 is $1,523 Canadian right?

    Since 3D is "new", just like when 1080p "took over" 1080i, you're going to have to be willing to spend way over €800 for a 3D 42"+ HDTV.

    Right now, I would recommend either Samsung or Panasonic. BUT, they are not out yet. Panasonic has their 3D TV's coming out this Wednesday, but that's in the United States. Samsung has theirs on the 21st. So even though I can't give you a precise answer and recommend that you wait a bit if you want 3D, I would still either go with Samsung or Panasonic. They and Pioneer, always seem to be the best in quality.

    That being said, if you don't care about 3D, but do care about getting the best quality, then here are some suggestions:

    If you'll willing to spend just a little more than €800, definatley get this TV:
    Samsung PN50B860

    The Panasonic V10 Series are good too.

    For close to €800;
    Samsung UN46B6000
