Hi, I downloaded the trail version of Adobe Premiere Pro, and obviously this is some very serious software for a beginner. Can anyone recommend a simpler video editing program to use that will allow me to get my feet wet?

I'm looking for something that is really easy to use, but could actually be a stepping stone for moving up to a more advanced program like Adobe Premiere. I would appreciate any of your comments. Thanks.

Have you tried Showbiz or Windows Movie Maker? Both pretty basic with a good GUI and descent functionality. What are you trying to do? Home-movies, class projects, full-length feature films? All depends on how much power you need.

Start with WMM, graduate to something like Vegas movie studio 4, then move up to the full Vegas 6.

Cyberlink's Power Director 4. Cheap, easy to use, and in my opinion, better than some of the much more expensive stuff on the market.
