Ive got a few movies that are .avi's. When I try to play them on Windows Media player, it only plays the sound. Im new to the DVD ripping thing, but would consider myself an intermediate/advanced PC user..=0P LoL.. but Ive downloaded a few movies recently and deleted them because i figured they didnt work.Do I need to convert the avi.s's to something different, and can avi's be burned to a DVD that will work in a Home DVD player? HELP

DVD Flick is free and will convert and burn the resulting files with ImgBurn: http://www.dvdflick.net/ ConvertXtoDVD is payware but easy to use and probably the best 1 step program there is (the trial leaves a watermark). To view your avi on the pc, the K-Lite codec pack (Full) should be all you need: http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm or the XVID codec should play about 95% or the VLC Player has its own codecs and plays most things.
