I'm trying to convert my old 8MM tapes to DVD. My 8MM camcorder broke, so I invested in a new Sony digital 8 so I can transfer my old tapes.

I have captured the 2 hour file using Pinnacle 9 SE, but it's about 26 GB! If I take smaller sections (20 minutes), I can successfully burn a DVD using Pinnacle, but I'd like to try to squeeze more onto a single DVD.

What steps do I have to take to compress my file so I can put more onto a DVD? I made a mpeg file through Pinnacle however am not quite sure what dto do from there. I also have Ulead Studio, Nero, DVD Shrink, DVD Copy, etc. I'm just stuck and hoping someone can help me.

    Thanks!

(Not quite sure if this is in the right forum -- sorry!)

    hi

if you have an mpeg load it to divxtodvd it will output vob/ifo/bup files to burn to dvd, if to big then use dvd shrink to compress it to dvdr5
