can DVD-9 videos be played on a 3 year old PS2

    Can anyone please help me - we have just made a yoga video and had it authored onto DVD-9 as it is more than 3 hours long - however it does not play on my 3 year old playstation - is this normal? or is there something i have to do to make it work on my PS2 - thank you

    Try cleaning the laser and see if that helps.

    Wait.....can unmoded PS2s read DL discs? I dont think so...that's probably your problem.

    How was the DVD 9 Authored? Was it commercially pressed, or burned using a Dual Layer burner. Burned DVD's do not work on many PS2's (I believe you can search the forums to find what versions will read burned discs)

    If you can say where and how the DVD was authored it would be easier to tell why the PS2 won't read it.

    Why not?
    My version3 can read DL movies, almost all ps2s can read backup movies. only ps2 game backups require mods.
    what DL dvds did you use siborg?
