I just downloaded DVD Shrink yesterday and am very unfamiliar with it. I used DVD Shrink to backup a new movie I own onto my computer. I read that DVD Shrink doesn't work on newer DVDs, but it worked fine and plays great on my computer. The problem is that when I try to play the original DVD on a DVD Player it doesn't work. Did DVD Shrink corrupt the original DVD? Is there a way to fix this, and has anyone else had this problem?

The problem isn't the dvd player. It can play other dvds I put in it. Also, I didn't burn the movie onto a disc. The Original disc, the one I bought from the store with the movie on it, will not work in the dvd player anymore. DVD Shrink changed something on the original disc so it will not play on a dvd player.

Being new to the dvd shrink thing, I found that I had that same problem sometimes. I started using media player classic - home cinema, and I can play most anything. Google that, it was a free down load, just can't remember what the url was.

No it didn't, i repeat it did NOTHING to the original disc, dvd shrink is a read only program, therefore if disc can't be read it is the player or the dvd itself, forget about shrink it is NOT the cause of the problem, even if you accidently setup a burning program to burn to the original dvd it will NOT ,you will instead get an error message disc is full because it is a finalised disc

hehehe.. and just how do you propose to change anything on a pressed and read only disk? most likely the disk has a big greasy finger mark on it or something ;)
