Can DVDSHRINK be used to shrink a n AVI or MPG compilation befotr it is rendered and burned ?

    I edited and put together some AVI files from a digital camcorder in Pinnacle but could not burn a DVD because i was about 10 minutes oversize. I tried a similar project with AVI clips from the camcorder fed from a VCR. I rendered ( is that the correct term ?) them in pinnacle to mpeg2 and could not burn a DVD because it was about 5 minutes over.I could not find a way to reduce (compress ?) the project in Pinnacle. Is there a way ? Is there a way to use dvd shrink or Nero Encode to shrink an unburned project ? TIA again for your suggestions and patience with me. Yrnehbad

    You should be able to do this using Nero Recode

    Thank you. I will give it a try and report back. One more question re Nero recode please. It is working fine for copying DVD (VOBs). I have one such DVD which i would like to remove the last 5 minutes from. Can this be done while using Nero Encode to copy the DVD ? TIA Yrnehbad
