I am trying to make my fisrt [bold]"movie" [/bold]using [bold]Nero Vision 4 [/bold]and I have Imported a wedding video to the timeline and would like to [bold]add still pictures for a predermined period of time [/bold]to replace some of the boring/poor reception video as people give their speaches and [bold]have the audio continue to play[/bold] and have a full screen picture pop up of the screen for say like 10 seconds then switch to another picture for say 5-10 seconds. [bold]Can this be done??? [/bold] My guess is that I should first break the video down to elementary streams using VideoRedo and Import them seperately as to have the video in the center and the wedding audio in the first audio stream timeline directly below it. [bold]Now how do I add the still Pictures to the video timeline to replace the boring/poor quality video [/bold]during the speaches and the determine the amount of time before it changes to the next picture??? [bold]Please if anyone has any ideas on how to do this I would like to hear them all as I would like to get the together for the upcoming Anniversity... Thank You Soooo Much In Advance[/bold]
I don't see a way to directly add a photo into the timeline when you make a movie, since there is only one video track. I was able to make a slide show using one photo, then export it as a .mpg file and use in on the timeline when editing. You would use the photo/video just like any other video. You would have to play with the effects to see if you could make it look the way you wanted. If you need to add video between video, you might need to change the configuration of the "Snap timeline" setting. You may know of another program to make a photo into a video, or even make it appear as an effect so you could add it to that track. I will keep looking but maybe someone will know how to create your own effects. If you wanted, there are programs you can trial download that have more capability. Adobe's Premiere is very expensive, but you might be able to get what you need. I do believe there are some restrictions on certain aspects of what the trial will do. ________________________________ I have been thinking about it and I forgot about the audio track not matching the video if you insert something. So if you can't make the photo into an effect, you would probably need to have separate audio and video tracks, You might be able to record the audio separately and then add it into the audio track, and then turn down the audio on the original. You may have audio sync problems doing this, so I would try to make sure the video I was using was already in a DVD compatible mode (or at least 29.97 or 25 fps) before I recorded the audio.
