Can i change from a philips drive to a thompsom drive for my xbox

    I have a xbox version 1.6 with a philips drive. I was wondering if i could get a thompsom drive and change it with my philips drive.

    Yeah you could, but why would you? Thomson drives are generally the worst of the drives in the xbox. I would suggest a Samsung or a LG drive.

    I agree w/ Quad! Unless your laser is going out in your philips drive, or it is having problems reading backup games, I would not switch drives, especially to a thomson. Now I'm not saying their bad, but they are probably the worst drives made for the Xbox, w/ the philips coming in a close second.
