My questions is a simple one, I think. I am wondering whether I can delete from my computer superceded nero 6 application files. By this I mean, I have downloaded the latest verions of nero 6, eg. nero 6.6.1.4, NVE-3.1.0.25, so can I delete the older versions like nero 6.6.0.18 and NVE-3.1.0.21, and even earlier versions. (I guess the question is a general computer question that applies to all applications that are periodically updated). Will deleting the superceded applications in any affect the performance of the updated nero applications. thanks, Phil
Yes, you can by using the nero6 general cleantool found here. http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/en/Nero_6_CleanTool.html If you plan on using the latest version of nero6 (6.6.1.4), be advised that if you plan on using the autoburn function with nero when using DVDshrink, it will not work. Deleting the superceded applications should not affect the performance of the updated nero applications.
Thanks. So you must use the clean up tool, instead of just deleting the old files from the hard drive.
If you uninstall your version of Nero, run the clean tool to remove any "lingering" parts and then re install your chosen version. I would recommend keeping the version you have as the latest offering from Nero is full of bugs whereas version 6.6.0.18 is bug free.
