Can i get usb 3.0 on an older mobo with an expansion card?

    I know motherboards now have usb 3.0 and there are pci cards with usb 3.0 but can i still use them if my motherboard only supports usb 2.0?

    its my understanding that the standard PCI bus cant support USB 3.0 or rather not completly, otherwise yes, as its the add in card that allows USB 3.0 connectivity to take place.
