Hi all, am new to this, but was wondering if I can install windows xp on an older computer (pentium 3) & has windows 98. I have a newer computer with xp on it. Can i use the recovery disks (i think thats the right name for them) that came with the newer one to install xp on the older one? Please answer in basic terms as im just starting out in this area. thanks

Legally, no you cant as you dont own a license to install it on any other machine other then the one it came with. I wouldn't recommend putting XP on a P3 anyway, as it will be a bit short on processing power.
