I was wondering is there any way to make an emulator iso of n64 games like how they do for the ps2 http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/351999 for xbox.

I already know how to do it for the ps2 and wanted to do it for the xbox because I dont like installing roms to my xbox hd since it is so small, and like having it on dvd for backup purposes.

    Sure can.

There are two ways to go about doing this.

One way is to run the emulator from the disc and the other is to run it from the hard drive. In both cases, you'll have to modify the emulator's initialization file (ini) to search on the disc drive (D:\) instead of the hard drive (E:\ or F:\).

Whenever you make the disc though, use Quix to create an Xbox iso and then burn it with ImgBurn (whatever you prefer).

Download Quix off teamavalaunch.com and if you don't already have Surreal64, get that off of xbins.

    1. Open up Surreal.ini in the Surreal64 folder.
    2. Change the rom path to D:\roms and the media path to D:\media
    3. Place all your roms into the roms folder.
    4. Use Quix to create an ISO of the Surreal64 folder. Basically, on the left hand side of Quix click on "Create ISO" then select local folder and select the Surreal64 folder (click the three dots to the right of the address box to browse for it). Check the "automatically crosslink" box and then hit create ISO. Select a destination to save it to, and hit save.
    5. Burn the image with ImgBurn.

is it possible to make it able to search both the E drive and look also at the dvd for roms?

I am thinking of having my top favorites on the Hdd and then burn the not-so-great ones onto a dvd?

How can I edit the .INI file to find both if i want??

    thanks
