I heard that it might be possible to play Blu-Ray discs on your PC. Is this true. I don't want to invest into a Blu-Ray player. I have an ASUS A8N-E AMD64 motherboard with 1G RAM and about a 2.4 GigHz processor but could upgrade my video card if that is all that is needed.
yes you will need a blu-ray drive . Pioneer has one for 149.99 http://www.nowdirect.com/exec/partI...&N=296&Nty=1&gclid=CP-e2qCptpICFQsnxgodzhOdRA
I brought the lg ggc h20 blu ray/ hd dvd reader (doesnt burn but i can rip) No I want the burner so im going to have to sell my reader cheap and put the money towards the burner. If you have the extra cash buy a burner.
Try the Blu-ray advisor tool here http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/support/bdhd_support/diagnosis.jsp This will test yuour system for compatability and let you know what you need Cheers G
of course, the display resolution on your PC is far greater than your TV, in fact, nearly double BUT, you will need a bluray drive in order to read the bluray disc. but if you have the blueray file on your PC, then VLC Media Player could play it comfortably.
