Can I play region 3 DVD in region 2?

    Hi

    I am not sure I have posted in right forum- my apologies if I am wrong

    I have region 3 DVD video files that i want to burn to DVD but i live in the UK which is region 2

    Do I have to do anything special or can i just burn them normally?

    Once files are ripped from a commercial movie DVD, there is no region coding - so burn away.
    Burned DVD's have no region code.

    If I am not mistaking, Region 3 is mostly NTSC, and in UK you use PAL. If your player works with both systems(most do in Europe), all is good, otherwise you would have to convert from NTSC to PAL.

    You can load a VOB file in GSpot and see if it is PAL/NTSC; check the DVD player though-might play both.
