Hey guys. I have a Toshiba Equium M70 for the moment, its an oldish thing, about 2 years old, but im not ready to chuck it just because the crappy disc drives kicked the bucket.

I was wondering if it would be possible for me to replace it myself, and if so, where would i find a new dvd rw drive for it?
The standard one is mate by "Matshita" but the hell with getting one made by them, i want a different one if possible.

Thats really all i have to ask....hope you guys can help?

Most notebook drives are held in by a couple of screws through the bottom. NewEgg has several 'slim line' drives. Google your laptop model or visit one of the notebook forums for disassembly info. I'd consider an external, IIWY.
