Can I run things in the background

    Can you run things such as the internet...anti-virus...or other program while you copy a dvd?

    Yes, I always do. It's best if you have a dual core, but I've done it with single cores also.

    I have done it with single core as well, with no problems. I even played games during the transcoding part. An important step is probably during burning, when you don't want to open some applications that would spike up your CPU/RAM demand.

    Thanks you guys... I was always told never to have the antivirus running or anything running in the background.
