Hi, I got a problem that many others had, but I haven’t seen an answer. I have my desktop connected to my Router, and I have a Notebook connected wireless, is there a way to share my files between then? Desktop______(cable)Router------(wireless)Notebook?????? Thanx in advance.
Yes there is a way. You need to setup both systems on the same network and you should have no problems. I have networked a PC and Mac together using this system yet a little more advanced. Also it depends on what OS you are using. On XP all you need to do is run network setup wizard on both computers and make sure you chose the same network for both. Do you have any encryption for you wireless network? If not do that first. My desktop (PC wired) and ibook G4 (wireless) work great together. Also if you can't see your other computer try the search function and look for the name you gave the other computer on your network under the computers or people option.
