I did my first softmod on a 1.6b today, using Krayzie's MA exploit -- worked like a champ. I have a 250GB HDD (formatted and works great in my chipped box), that already has a buttload of apps and games and emus and such, so I would like to use on my softmodded xbox. Can I skip some of the complicated steps in upgrading my softmodded xbox's HDD?

I only have XP machines, so I suppose I will have to find an image to burn for a boot disc.

I can freely lock/unlock my HDD with my chipped box and FTP anything to or from it, no problem. I already have the original HD info and unlock codes for the softmodded box.

What would be the REMAINING steps to getting my softmodded box to recognize the new disc?

Like I said. This is my FIRST softmod, so I am completely lost.

Nevermind. I figured it out. I didn't know about the whole eeprom signature thing and so on. I locked my drive with the factory HDD info and just kept my F and G.

I used this guide. It was super easy. I think I will stick to modchips, though.
