    found a thread about this
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/4/216060
    I don't know if it works or not, haven't tried it

    found a "special" armax version online once, it was a bin file with both armax and cdloader, so there was no problem playing backup games with a backup of armax, you only need swap magic

    I need to find that "special" ARMax disc then. Or perhaps you wouldn't mind in uploading and sharing yours with the heads that need it.

    I've uploaded the file here's the link
    http://rapidshare.com/files/1529753/PS2_action_replay_max_evo.rar
    download, extract it with winrar and burn the image on a cd (i use dvd decrypter)

    then put in swap magic cd
    swap it with the armax cd
    u'll see that cdloader starts just press X
    chose pal or ntsc version
    armax loads
    select the game and codes you want to use
    press start, armax will ask to enter gamedisc, just press X
    cdloader will load again,
    press eject on your ps2
    put in swap magic dvd and wait a few seconds
    press X
    you will see a red screen with something like "put in disc by EA method"
    use your slide card or flip top to open the disc tray and swap the swap magic disc for your backup game and press X

    this is how i play my backups with armax

    have you tried to download the file again and to burn it on a lower speed?

    @_FuRiOuS_: I've got a little question that you might be able to answer since you made that armax file with dvd loader.
    is there any way to play backup games with the ELF file of the gameshark cheatdevice?

    whenever I try to load a game with the cheats of gameshark I get the screen with the memory cards on it and then a red screen that says that the disc isn't an original ps2 disc. So basicly it's the same problem when you try to play a game with armax without using dvd loader.

    this is what I've allready tried:

    1)Swap magic cd -> ulaunchELF -> load Gameshark from usb -> select cheats and start game -> tray opens -> swap magic dvd -> backup game
    => doesn't work

    2)Swap magic cd -> ulaunchELF -> load Gameshark from usb -> select cheats and start game -> tray opens -> swap magic cd -> cdloader
    => doesn't work

    I guess i need a disc with both gameshark and cd/dvd loader on it.
    so do you know how to do this?
    hopefully you understand what I mean
