Can my cd-rom read the dvd files for burning?

    Whenever I put the DVD I wish to burn into my CD-ROM it says it cannot find a disk. Do I need a DVD-R or etc rom to be able to burn dvds with my dvd-rw to cd-r disk?

    Or cant you do that?

    Funnily enough in order to read a DVD you need a DVD drive.
    In order to burn a DVD you need a DVD writer.
