Can only see my mouse when I log in. Exams comming up please help!

    When loging in (using vista)
    I get the error message The application failed to start because SHDOCVW.dll was not found.

    Got a blank background with no start bar at the bottom and can use task manager only.

    Do not have a Vista CD (didn't come with the laptop)

    Can only run the task manager using ctrl shift + esc. Don't want to loose and programmes etc on my laptop. Can't access the folder sytem32 even uder safe mode; says 'I do not have permission'. Tried changing the setting to let me see hidden files and didnt work.

    When running msconfig and disabling most the applications I can log on fine.. but will get the same problem after about a week.

    NEED HELP REALLY BAD EXAMS COMING UP PLEASE!

    PLEASE HELP THANKS TO ANYONE WHO EVEN TRYS :)

    Its deleted my system restore files now and I cant run msconfig from task manager -.-
