I was wondering something, I don't see why it wouldn't work. I'm a cheap ass, and would not want to spend money on blank Mini DVDs. I also don't want to take the case off my Gamecube. If I burnt a Gamecube ISO onto an ordinary sized DVD, and then cut the part of the ordinary sized DVD off that I didn't write to, I would end up with a mini DVD. Provided that I have a modchip installed in my Gamecube, my homemade Mini DVD would work fine on the Gamecube, am I right?

Note: I do not have a Mod chip installed or I'd try it myself.

Yea, they can be cut as minis, but you need to be careful when cutting, it should not make any harm to data parts. Scissors are bad option, if u have Dremel, better to use that.

If your planning to install a mod chip you will need to take off your top case anyway to install the modechip.

So why dont you get a full size DVD gamecube top replacing the mini top when you insatll the modchip. It would be an easier way to go.

I have my top replaced with the full sized top tray insatlled on my gamecube and looks and works great. It cost $30 bucks well worth the money. You can also buy the case with the tool to open your gamecube up but I opted to use the bic pen method to open mine then after getting it open went to the hardware store and bought phillips head screws replacing the hex bit screws that are insatlled so I could get into it easier next time if I had to take the top off.

Also if you cut a full disc down you could have problems with your disc being out of ballence and not being able to read right.

If you havent ever seen our heard about replacing the top to full sized I linked the place where I got my top so you can take a look.

I don't want any exterior modifications done to my GC, only interior ones. Basically, I want it to look completely normal, but kick complete ass from the inside.

I was pretty sure that you could cut big DVDs into mini ones, I just wanted to confirm it. Of course I'll be careful when cutting. Thanks you guys.

it looks complelty normal it just has a bigger tray holder inside. But thats up to you if you want to take the time to cut big DVDs to little ones and have the chance of them not working right if you miss cutt. Just dosent seem praticel to choose looks (which you cant tell a diffrence) to quility by cutting a big disc to fit the little tray area.
