I am installing, splinter cell (the error emerge in the 2nd cd), Lord of the rings, flight combat simulator, iron storm and c&c generals. They all are giving me the 1335 error. Why is this happening please?
The majority of those games are cd protected. Depending upon the brand name of your burner and model will determine if you need emulation to play your backups. You'll need software like BlindWrite Suite, Alcohol 120%. Shoey
I used alcohol 120% but it gave me the same error on splinter cell. Is there any settings on alcohol to eliminate cd protection?
Splinter Cell, C&C Generals, Flight Combat Simulator (latest release) are Safedisc cd protected. Lord Of the Rings I believe is SecuROM cd protected and I'm not sure what cd protection is on Iron Storm. Again, please post the brand name of your burner and model so I can further assist you. According to CloneCD supported burners, the Samsung SW-240 is referred to as a 1 sheep burner. Basically this means that your burner can "write regular bit patters ALMOST correctly" (EFM encoding). Start by downloading BlindWrite 4.25. Use the ClonyXXL tool to scan all discs and write down on a sheet of paper which disc(s) are protected. Example, C&C Generals is 2 discs (I think) and disc 2 is Safedisc 2.8.x cd protected. In this case you would use BlindWrite 4.25 to backup that cd and disc 1, you can use any cd burning program and just do a cd copy to cd. After you have sorted out the discs that have cd protection, install BlindWrite 4.25 and use these settings. Read image settings: Open BlindWrite (icon on the left) dump the image of a cd-rom Authorize the use of alternative read method>nextChoose nibble (extraction method), check adapt speed and read max. Write image settings: Open BlindWrite(image to the right)start cd writing wizard>look up and make sure your Samsung is chosen>next. Locate the image of the disc you saved to your hd>nextclick next again. Chose DAO pw write mode and check enhance weak sectors and eject cd when finished, burn max.
