Hi all. I know this is not a virus or spyware problem but I posted my query under another forum header and got no response so hopefully someone can help me. Here is my problem again

I have a website which I often browse the forums. I tried the other night to go into it for the first time in ages but got this error message:

Failed to write a compiled template to /tmp/tpl-grumpys-settings-toplevel-c604975c4ab61a74cc7808b401464f53.php. This is probably caused by the file permissions on your cache directory.

Hopefully someone will know what this means and how I can fix it.

    Thanks.

    Hi grantr

I'm sorry that no one replied to you. Perhaps no one knew the answer! :)

At least I don't. However, I can guess: perhaps it is your internet explorer settings, which prevent scripts or activex or something. That is most probably the case. Do you run SpywareBlaster or Spybot? Are your browser settings all set to default?

    Best Regards :D
