Hi, i have two data dvds full of music, is it possible to import all that music by folder into my itunes? The dvd is burned as a data dvd.......
There are two ways you can do it. You can either copy the contents of the data dvd to your computer & import them, or you can simply import them from the DVD, and then 'Consolidate Library' afterwards. Note; To Import, go "File" --> "Add folder to library" & locate your folder. To Consolidate library, go "Advanced" --> "Consolidate Library"
Lethal, as sad as this is i need a full tutorial on what seems so obvious to every one else on itunes. I got the music off my dvd, and onto the pc separated in folders (all songs named and folders named and album art in each folder) my two questions are then.. How do i send those folders to itunes? How do i then send each folder to my ipod? (including the album art)
Well I'll try and help you although my name isn't Lethal Anyway open up iTunes and click 'File' [Top left hand corner of the screen] Then click 'Add Folder to Library' Locate your music [if you can't find it through that interface open up your music where you know you saved it and right click and go to properties, it'll have a Location listed on it and it will show you which folders you need to go through to find it in the iTunes interface] Then click 'Okay' and it should add your music to your library. How long this takes depends on the settings you've chosen, such as whether you want iTunes to consolidate your Library or not [it will be much faster if you have that setting off, but don't delete or move your music files from where they were originally if you choose that option] Then when you connect your iPod it should update all of the songs automatically assuming you havn't changed any of the default options. If the album art is on your songs in iTunes then it should appear on your iPod. Edit: Typos...
