Can they send a signal down that makes The Box inoperable?

    N** user in dublin. if someone connected The Box by mistake through Pace N** cable box, can they send a signal down which makes The Box useless? I had scanned & been watching all the channels the previous day. thanks a million

    Hmmm!! Connected The Box by mistake? Surely a heck of a big mistake, what were you trying to connect?. The answer is no, they cannot send anything down the line to harm your box, that was a rumour started by UPC to scare people, although there is a report here

    Not another one of these, "signal down line", "virus", etc, time to close I think.
