Hi guys, I'm keeping my fingures crossed that someone here will be able to help.

I've got a dvd at home with an annoying big counter stretching across the top of the screen (you probably know the one but i dont want to break any rules by saying)

anyway my question is do any of you peeps know if there is any software out there that i could use to edit/remove the counter at the very least slice it of the picture.

any help is much apreciated, thanks in advance
    Jo (big starwars fan)

yeah thanks for that just as well i did a search....and found the answer...elseware on your site.

i dont understand, A guy openly addmitted to needing help to edit/crop down his illegal copy of starwars and people (members) are posting how to guides and giving the poor joe advice....i come on and post a very polite and discrete help request and a get a bag of balls reply from you... thanks buddy.

It's the nature of the site.
Some post help, ignoring the source, and not automatically assuming illegality, whilst others police.
We're each entitled to our opinion :)

    Rebootjim, thanks for the post.

I got so far then lost my way,.

    I started VirtualDub
I loaded my *.VOB movie file
I selected the logoaway filter and managed to place that in the correct position.
then i selected "start frame serve" and nothing happened!!... i cant help feeling i came so close with it all.

do you know what i have done wrong?? any advise is greatly received.

    Thankyou.
