Yeah, replacing the drive CAN be done... But it requires some STRONG interest, because it's a pain. It's the only XBox mod other than replacing/upgrading the ram that most sites seem to rate a 10/10 for console modding. Although truthfully, I would rate the ram change at 12/10 difficulty, ick. Anywho, yeah, you will have to do a lot of prep and backup work, but it is very doable. In fact, if you really know what you're doing, you can actually get a larger drive into an unmodded state, and play it on XBox live with more memory, and it doesn't get noticed. Not that there's any good reason to, just an interesting fact.
