Can video rental places tell if you copy one of there dvds? my friend said yes..

    My buddy might have been kiddin around but i was curious if there is some truth in it.. he said to be careful renting dvds and burnin em cuz some places have a "machine" that can tell if a dvd has been copied..is that true?

    Thanks for the input..i Always wondered however, they put the warnings out there.. yanno, any duplication,distrubution blah blah is prohibited..?? well how the heck would they ever know lol.. its kinda like hey im gonna tape a song off the radio or just hook two vcrs up and record a movie or wait..dare i do it!...record a ppv! on my vcr lol..
