    Hi,

I was wondering whether it is possible to create video files using virtualdub that are compatible with the ipod video?

I would think that if you encode with h264 video codec and use MP3 as the audio format that should work?

Are .avi and .m4v related/the same or are they totally different?

    Thanks

Yes, the videos that you convert with this program will produce iPod Video compatible videos. :)

    What settings are required?

I would imagine x264 codec, 320x240 res, and mp3 for sound?

I ask as my PC is slow so to start doing lots of test runs blindly takes quite a while!

    Cheers
