Hey friend just asked me if its possible to burn dvd with only dvd rom and cd writer.. He has no dvd writer. Told him i dont know for i have dvd writer but could find out... so the question out there to those whom know is : CAN YOU BURN DVD WITH DVD ROM AND CD WRITER ONLY and if so WHICH PROGRAMS ARE USED? IF not CAN YOU RIP DVD WITH ONLY DVD ROM TO BE TRANSFERED TO SVCD and WHAT PROGRAM WOULD YOU USE ? THANKS to all of those who put in there knowledge asystole
No...You can Not Burn a DVD with a CD-Burner... You can rip a DVD and Convert it to VCD or SVCD Format but VCD/SVCD"s Suck Big time and Have Really Bad Problems getting them to Play on some Players Pluss you have to Put the Movies on at Least 2 CD-R"s for one Movie..... I would suggest that your Friend just Invest the $40 and get a DVD Burner or you can even get a Used one for about $20 or Less.... There are Guides in the "Guides" section that will explain how to convert DVD to VCD/SVCD but it is Done with a Bunch of Different Programs so it can not be Done with Just One program.... Cheers
