Is it possible to burn the SVCD format to DVD and possibly make it longer? I'm writing a program that I want it to support both CD's and DVD's so I'm thinking SVCD will do the trick. I'm just not sure if SVCD supports writing to DVD's?

    Thanks!

I'm programming something actually. We want to get more video onto something and was wondering if DVD would work.

Well yep Im sure it would! DVD is an odd standard really, I still havent managed to make a disc that hasnt worked no matter how far off the standards I have Gone. There is XDVD, KDVD etc that sacrifices birates but changes factors like quantize matrix settings to keep up good quality. I dont really like non standard discs however, i wouldnt go further than trusting an SVCD resolution on DVD!
