Hi.. got a Starview 3 and all working fine however whilst most channels appear to have scanned in on my starview 2, about half of them are just numbers and have no channel description.. therefore.. Can you Channel Dump out of Starview 3 and Import to Starview 2?

    Thanks,

    NGT

i dont think u can as loaders are different for each box,but what i have noticed in some scans come in as numbers, try factory reset and then power off box then on and autoscan ur provider, scan from a direct feed no splitters or extensions, try scanning early or late to get a stronger signal.

OK thanks.. I'll give it a go..

I get an excellent picture on all the channels so the signal seems ok.. it's just the names of each channel.

then do the above and see if that helps, connect the box to a direct feed, but make sure you factory reset the box and turn it off and on and then scan (try after 7pm, to make sure you get the BBC's that dont start till then)

Ok will do.. Just to connfirm (as I've not done this before) The factory reset is done by just selecting it off the menu option. Once completed do I then need to reload/flash the software (v4.51) back onto the box and then scan after 7pm?

yip menu, factory reset and the box, turn it off and scan after 7, no you dont need to load firmware again. Are you in the UK or Ireland?
