The corrupted icons havent got NOTHING to do with loading iso's, to load iso you need to launch the program e.g umd emulator from psp>game, to hide the corrupted icons rename the two folders of the program to programname% and programname 1.

actually jask you're incorrect, that wont work.
and to answer your question henry101 no you cant delete those corrupted icons. Its seems like corrupted data but it isnt. That icon is the other folder that has the eboot..
    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/314889
that is a thread in which we talked about different things to do with corrupted icons.
the best way would be mine or piece's way...
and so you kno jask to rename them to make the icon disapear.
you have to reduce both folders to 4 letters
    So jaskaran and jaskaran%
    would become
    jask
    and jask
the folder that had the percentage before would become jask1~1% and the other folder would become jask[hit space bar 28 times]1.
thats how you would actually do it.
sorry if you were mislead at first

Actually you just you are wrong in telling me that i am wrong.
He asked if he can delete the corrupted icon.
    [bold]he cant[/bold]
the corrupted icons that pop up are the other eboots. Delete those and the program wont work
I told him how to hide the corrupted icon.
I am not even going to bother going over to that site but what ever you are referring to is probably an corrupted icon hider.
Those programs don't do anything that I didn't just tell him to do.
All the programs do is rename the folders, using the process i told henry to use.

Note that some programs have only one eboot. Therefore there isn't shit to delete, but this isnt the kinda prog he was talking about. This is the second time you've tried to correct me when I am right, I trust you will read my posts a little more thoroughly 3d. thanks

@henry101: if this convo confused u... basically u CAN, but thats apart of the full game. psp sees them as corrupt files. since theyre on ur flask disk, you can delete whatever you want. but like u said, your games wont work, cauz theyre needed. there are methods that allow you to not have those folders. so instead of bleh and bleh%, you just have bleh. its too much of a fuss. i did a simple thing, which i caught off this forum. when i load up the games folder in psp, i have all the games at the topm and corrupted files at the bottom (hope that makes sense). all u need to do is Cut the corrupt files from the flash disk and put them somewhere on your computer. then u Paste back into the same directory.

to answer your question, u DO need those corrupt files. psp jus recognises them as corrupt. thats it ^_^ . so dont delete them or else your games wont work

gregii, in the third post of this thread i posted this link http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/314889 to help henry, between your last post and think link there is nothing you told him that i didn't tell him or isnt in this link..

he obviously knows he can delete them, because he did. when i told him he cant, its because through his astoute observation he noticed that the emulators wont work without it.

LMAO! So once again you are wrong for saying you were right about being wrong about correcting me.

I knew about this long ago.

with the hex editor you [bold]don't delete the corrupted icon,[/bold] it just doesnt appear in the shell menu. Its not at all deleted lol, its just the corrupted icon doesnt show. [bold]However[/bold], it still leaves spaces in your game list incase you didnt know. Example here is how my games list looks
    Irshell
    Mph Game loader
    Umdemulater
    Fastloader
    SFA MAx
    NBA 2k5

    Most ppls looks like this
    Dgen
    Corrupted data
    corrupted data
    snes tyl. 03
    corrupted data
    Fastloader
    Umdemulator.

All that does is make your list look like this

    Dgen
    SNES

    Fastloader

    Umdemulator

    MPh

it just leaves spaces. The renaming of the folders is the most effective way. Because
    1. No spaces in the menu at all.
    2. I don't think its smart to strap a newb with a hex editing program and tell him to mess with deleting things directly in the flash memory.
    3. its overall neater with no spaces, the more programs you have the worst that method using hex editor is.

its cool, don't fret its still another method of dealing with corrupted icons, and may be useful for someone who is very very advanced and wants their psp that way

True, but that would be pointless cause it would still have it there
