can you replace windows98 with ME?

    I was wondering if you could totally erase a hard drive on an old computer running windows 98, and then replace it with a drive from a computer running windows me.

    yes but will have to reinstall all drivers as the me board might be different from the 98se board. also depends on how much ram is on the 98 board.

    what does the ram have to do with it?

    me might not load if only 32meg of ram or loads slow!

    o man dont use windows ME if theres an option. it is imo the WORST windows ever made and thats sayin somethin.
