can you solder to the back of ps2 bios chip

    i am going to install a modbo 4.0 modchip in my ps2 and i hate soldering the the pins of the bios chip. can i solder to the bottom side of it and still have the chip work or do i need to solder to the top side.

    You can solder to the backside on at least some of the points. I typically check those points to verify my install. However, I wouldn't say those are easier points to install to.

    in my opinion thet are easyer becaus i dont have to go at it at such an angle. ill probly solder on top just to keep the wires short though.
