can you splice a old mouse cord to have a usb cord on the end?

    i mean i spliced ipod chargers to xbox controlers n alot of other stuffs

    I am thinking no because the usb needs to load up some sort of drivers and the older mouse wont have those programed.

    Cant hurt to try i guess but a usb mouse can be had for like $10 for a decent logitech optical. So why not just spend $10

    dude u can buy little usb adapters that chages old mouse into usbs and the other way around

    lol yeah the harm in tryin is if it messes up n dont work then i dont got a mouse for either comp

    jus tryin to get my more expensive one runnin but i dont got a mouse cus it only uses usb ports

    You can probably find a USB cable from a local PC shop for practically nothing, use that.
