    Hi there,

I have been looking for a Video Authoring tool to do the following in one video:

    - Create a menu
    - Add credits at the end of the dvd
    - Add Photos to the video
    - Add existing videos taken on various devices e.g. camcorder
    - Play background music while the video's are playing and have the ability to fade the music in/out at various parts so that I can hear the audio of the actual video playing to pick up things such as holiday commentary

I'm wanting to do all of this in one tool. I thought it would be rather common however I have used tools such as "TMPGEnc DVD Author" & "Ulead Movie Factory" and they all do what I want apart from being able to fade audio in/out at various stages during the song so that I can hear the video commentary.

Any help would be appreciated as i've been looking for quite some time now.

    Many Thanks
    Scott

I have done this successfully on Windows XP using MovieMaker burning to a vcd or in Vista using DVD Maker its free works great and is easy to learn how to use infact Amazon.com has some great dvd guides available as well as some of those dummies books. Using Windows Native software I was able to produce a video christmas card that we mass reproduced and gave to confrence attendees I got lots of questions on what program I used to produce it and it was to everyones suprise it was sitting unused right there on there pc.

Thanks Elliot. I actually tried out Adobe Premiere Elements and that seems to be exactly what I want. I acn do everything I want in that. My flatmate has been using Windows Movie Maker which seems great however with regards to fading audio at different parts in a song and then bringing some commentary from the video into the foreground doesnt seem to be straight forward.

    Thanks for your response though.

Scottie can you lend some $$$ I want Adobe Elements...lol I love Adobe it's just that I don't do alot of video stuff or even much fancy photo work however if one does the programs are well worth the money. I have also heard alot about GIMP but have never used it.
