I just purchased a eprex dvd dual 16x double layer dvd and cd writer and it burned a cd but I cannot get it to burn a dvd I tried it thru hte decryptor but sometimes it does not read it at all it just freezes then i have to manually reboot computer,I never had problems with my computer before,the way I installed it isi jusy swapped out a regular52x cd rom with the dvd writer plugs and everything is this correct,
you need to make sure your using good media and the correct media. Is your drive DVD-R and +R or 1 or the other? You need to make sure if it is a DVD-R burrner you have DVD-R media or if it is a DVD+R burrner you need to have DVD+R media and good quility media!
@1414, What kind of media are you using to do your backup? What dvd/movie are you trying to backup? Can you copy the DVD Decrypter's error log and paste it here, so other members can help you better?
my drive says internal dvd+or-rw drive the cd's I was usingwell I couldn't even get a chance to put one in yet I haven't got to that step.the movie I was trying to copy was bruce lee,scooby doo and gone in sixty seconds really a variety,I can't copy the log because it freezes and I have to manually boot it,It read the scooby doo one but when I switched the mode to iso read it froze man this is frustrating?
make sure that the jumper settings on the back of ur burner are set to the same setting as ur cd burner u took out ie slave,master this should sort ur problem out
ok the slave on the back of the burner is the same,I can burn cd's on this drive but not dvd's,is this a problem with windows or what when I ouy a dvd in the decoder says searching for file systems then about 5 minutes later i get a not responding message, this is very frustrating,also it plays the movie so does anyone know whats up?
hey you know what now when I put a dvd in the system just freezes it asks me what i want to do so I click on nero showtime to play it then i get a not responding message
