I have a modded Xbox that boots with Avalaunche. I have it connected to a NetGear router which is, of course, also connected to my PC. I do not see my Xbox in any of my Networks and I would like to transfer files from my PC to my Xbox. All of my firewalls are off. If you need any hardware specs, feel free to ask.
This is really simple i'll even take pics for you. Start your xbox and you should see a screen like this. Look at the bottom left corner and it will give you an ip address and the time. If you want to have your computer connect to the internet then enable dhcp. Go to SETTINGS then NETWORK You will see this screen Change DHCP to enabled then press b to get out to the previous screen. Then press your two triggers and your start and back buttons all at the same time and it will restart your xbox. Your xbox will boot with a dhcp ip address and you'll see text streaming from xbox-hq.com to the right. Now comes the easy part. Open up any folder in windows and change the address to ftp://xbox:xbox@(your ip address) In my case my xbox ip would be 192.168.0.102 so i would type in ftp://xbox:xbox@192.168.0.102 If you have any questions search ftp to xbox and if that is no help let me know and we can figure out your issue.
