OK im new to afterdawn but have always read threads for my problems. well i have a real agitating problem. i have Ace Mega Codecs installed and i believe avi codec. so my problems is that about a week ago none of my video files that i downloaded will convert to dvd format, .VOB, and the ones that do when i burn them do not play in my dvd player. i have never had this problem before. i had been using WinAVI converter and it worked perfect for 3 months till bout a week ago. since then i have downloaded numerous converters none of which have worked. it is really frusturating not even TMPGenc will work!!!! thats crazy!!! so if anybody knows what to do, by the way i have already uninstalled al the codecs on my comp.

I wonder if something happened to your DVD drivers. Try reinstalling those if you can and then reinstall WinAVI.

ok so last night i got this program call dvd lab pro, and it converted my movie and bvurned it perfectly! but why did only this one work? ALso i had noticed that when i burned a dvd, when one file was converted by winavi, that a weird circle was around the innermost part of the dvd, that has never happend before, and everytime i burned it it hada ring around the middle, almost as if it was written twice, i use a 4.7 gig dvd, when i burned the files with DVD santa the ring wasnt there. just thought that might be of some help, i reinstalled the dvd driver, but i still cannot convert, like sometimes the programs say it doesnt recognize certain .avi file and it closes on me. i really appreciate anyhelp.

Have you been creating these AVIs yourself? Or have you just been aquiring them from other sources?
