I have a .mpg file in my My Documents folder that I cannot delete. I am using windows xp media edition.
I can't move, open, or delete the file. When I right click the window gives me the play, add to burn list, add to windows media player list, play with media player, open with and send to options but nothing else.
I have tried to delete via dos as well and I get an invalid path message even though it is listed in the dir. How can I get rid of this thing without restoring my hard drive.

Yes, i had the same problem with files downloaded from limewire. I tried various methods then finally come across unlocker after searching for days. Did the job in just a couple of clicks.
Did the file have a large space in it, thats what usually causes the problem, a lot of characters or a massive space in the filename.

It had a ton of characters in the name. Unlocker worked, thanks.
