i have a rewritable dvd, but i cannot get it to delete files off so i can rewrite new ones. my driver also supports DVD RW. when i go to the properties after i insert the disc, it says its a cd drive and the file system is CDFS, when it clearly is dvd because it already has 3gb on it and stuff.

What program are you using to try to erase the DVD? Does the drive recognize any DVD?

I use N-ero or Roxio. How are you trying to erase the disc?

Well, I figured that you had to get a program to do it, because you sure aren't going to erase the disc by trying to delete the files.

I use either N-ero or Roxio to erase mine.
