Hi.. I Have 25 cds full of family photos that i burnt to cd about 5years ago on my old windows 98 machine. they all worked fine on that old computer, but now i have a new xp machine the discs will not work..? it tells me the discs are full, but there are no icons shown.? nothing.. just a blank window. can someone help please.
Try this and see if it works : Insert the disk and once you know it has time to load, click on "My Computer" and then look under "Devices with Removable Storage "....double click that Icon and see if there is a folder that you can open and if so, your pictures should be inside.
Hello riley804, thanks for the help. but still nothing mate. i cant seen to find the "Devices with Removable Storage" icon in "my compuper" I put a disc in drive D, the disc loads with a blank window. i've tried right clicking the drive D icon and "Explore" but still shows nothing on disc. i click on "properties" it show the disc in blue meaning its full, which is right, they are full. i think i will have to find someone with an old machine to see if they work on that.! thanks anyway.
OK.....Sorted. if anyone out there has the same problem, download a program called.. "IsoBuster" its the dogsB*lls.. it will find and extrack any file from disc.
Hi, Me again with a new problem. when im on the net and i click on a link..ie like clicking on "IsoBuster" above, all i get is a blank window/page.. anyone know why.? everything was ok a week or so ago but now i get nothing.ARRRRRRRRRH
