This is the wrong forum. However, you get what you paid for. Buy a named brand not a Chipod. Chipods are sold to persons that don't do their homework before they buy. They are rejects from the China market. If they were OK they would be sold in China since they were broken they sell them to fools in the US or Europe at least far from China. You can return it but would will only get another Chipod. You can't win.

My advice is to smash it with a hammer! At least you might feel a little good about it.

Okay Smart guy, you must be more senior than your title implies. HTC is only one of the larger manufacturers of the cellphone markets smart phones. By the way it was bought from the worlds largest retailer that has stores world wide. If you can't give advice I prefer not to hear from you at all.

It isn't often I get trashed by a moron!

Well, smart guy post your complait it the right place. I thought your cell phone was a Chipod. That is EXACTLY how they die and then there is NOTHING to be done. If you bend over, don't complain that you were kicked because your sure deserve it. Asking about a cell phone hardware issue on an audio forum because you discovered the hardware issue when you coudn't load an audio file. Oh, now I see! It is an audio issue not a cell phone issue!

Or are you invoking your right to be a moron? You can say what ever, do what ever and everyone ought to be polte to you. WRONG!

My expert opinion is to take it back. It is toast. A more expert opinion is to take off all your cloths, paint your self blue and chant I am not a idiot 5 times backwards to fix your failed memory/CPU.
